Background

Chrissie Thomson faced early adversity and entered the care system aged 9 years. She was sexually abused by her mothers new partner, her mother had believed her new boyfriend  over Chrissie. Chrissies mother regularly got drunk and took antidepressants most of her life. In the care system she reconnected with Sean, a familiar face from the past. The friendship blossomed into a 2 year relationship. Sean witnessed domestic abuse as a child. Whilst Chrissie was pregnant he started to isolate her from her friends and started to control Chrissies finances saying he wanted less ‘stuff for her to worry about’.

Chrissies biological father is in prison again, she hasn’t seen him for several years.  

Although she has left the care system and had a baby she wasn’t allocated a social worker.
